Welcome to Singing Wolf Counseling Services

Compassionate Therapy for Lasting Change

Singing Wolf Counseling Services provides compassionate, long-term therapy for children, teens, and adults. I specialize in trauma treatment and EMDR, offering a safe and supportive space to heal at your own pace. Sessions are entirely virtual, allowing you to meet from wherever you feel most comfortable. I offer sliding-scale options and a down-to-earth, nonjudgmental approach for clients who want real connection, not clinical coldness. Together, we work toward lasting change, emotional resilience, and a life that feels steadier and more authentic.

Mission

The mission of Singing Wolf Counseling Services is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and trauma-focused therapy for children, teens, and adults in a safe and supportive environment. We believe healing happens through genuine connection, respect for each individual’s lived experience, and care that moves at a pace that feels manageable and empowering. Through evidence-based practices, a client-centered approach, and with secure virtual appointments and sliding-scale options, we aim to support long-term healing, emotional resilience, and meaningful growth while making therapy accessible, affordable, and welcoming for all.

Hi, I’m Kirsten Hughes, LCSW, a trauma-informed therapist who believes healing begins when you feel safe, seen, and truly understood. I work with children (8+), teens, and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief, self-harm, and major life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in your strengths — blending ACT, CBT, EMDR, art, Internal Family Systems, journaling and expressive techniques, solution-focused, and humanistic therapies to help you reconnect with your resilience and move forward with purpose. Like a wolf offering its song to the night, I bring heart, instinct, and steady guidance — walking beside you as you reclaim your voice, your strength, and your own unique path toward healing. Outside of session, you’ll usually find me journaling and savoring a good rainstorm — preferably with my two dogs, cat, and a spooky movie nearby.
